Arsenal have reportedly made a second bid for Manchester United’s first-choice goalkeeper, Mary Earps.

  • Arsenal Women make a second, substantially higher bid for Manchester United goalkeeper Mary Earps.
  • The new bid follows Arsenal’s recent goalkeeper moves, including a contract extension for Manu Zinsberger and the signing of Sabrina D’Angelo.
  • The aggressive bid has created a buzz in the women’s football scene, especially considering Arsenal’s already strong roster of goalkeepers.

Arsenal have made a second offer for England World Cup hero, Mary Earps, with the bid said to be substantially higher than the previous record of £100,000 for a goalkeeper.

This comes as a notable development given that Arsenal had already extended the contract of their current goalkeeper, Manu Zinsberger, and signed Canadian stopper Sabrina D’Angelo earlier this year.

Earps was awarded the Golden Glove award at the recent World Cup following England’s 1-0 loss to Spain in the Women’s World Cup final.

Despite the defeat, Earps put in an exceptional performance, including a crucial penalty save in the second half.

This came after her recognition as the world’s best goalkeeper at FIFA’s The Best awards earlier in the year.

Earps kept three clean sheets during the tournament and was also named Player of the Match in England’s last-16 game against Nigeria.
