James Olayinka, a product of Arsenal’s youth academy, has been on the rise in the football world.

Joining Arsenal’s ranks at the tender age of seven, he consistently displayed his talent, especially with the U21s.

Despite never breaking into the senior squad, his contributions for the U21s ensured he remained one to watch.

During Cheltenham Town’s recent match against Bolton Wanderers, Olayinka, after being on the field for less than ten minutes, experienced a harrowing moment.

An awkward fall led to the midfielder dislocating his shoulder.

Immediate medical attention was required, and Olayinka was rushed to A&E.

The gravity of the injury means the 22-year-old will miss a significant portion of the current season.

Wade Elliott, Cheltenham’s boss, commented on the severity, saying, “It’s not going to be a quick one. We’ll have to support James and navigate this loss.”

Olayinka’s injury adds to a growing list for Cheltenham.

Other players, including Elliot Bonds and George Lloyd, have also found themselves sidelined due to injuries.

As Cheltenham prepares for upcoming matches, including a first-time visit to Reading’s Select Car Leasing Stadium, they’ll undoubtedly feel Olayinka’s absence.

However, Wade Elliott remains optimistic, stressing the importance of adapting and moving forward.
