  • Yunus Musah, currently playing for Valencia, was seen wearing an Arsenal shirt, intensifying rumours about a possible transfer back to his former club.
  • Valencia, not satisfied with Musah’s performance this year, has reportedly put a €25m price tag on the midfielder.
  • Despite interest from West Ham, no official offers have been made, leaving the door open for a potential return to Arsenal.

Valencia’s Yunus Musah has been seen donning an Arsenal shirt, a move that has sparked transfer speculations.

This comes amidst Valencia’s willingness to sell the 20-year-old former Arsenal player due to his underperformance this season.

According to reports, Valencia’s expectations from Musah have not been met this year, particularly during the club’s league struggles.

There are concerns that the team’s current state could further decrease Musah’s market value.

As a result, Valencia have placed a €25m price tag on the US midfielder.

Last month, Musah’s agent reportedly met with Valencia director Miguel Angel Corona, with West Ham United having expressed interest in the player.

However, they are not prepared to meet Valencia’s full asking price despite the massive influx of cash they are about to receive from Arsenal for Declan Rice.

Meanwhile, Musah’s former affiliation with Arsenal and his recent appearance in the club’s shirt have fuelled rumours about his return to the North London club.

In an interview last year, Musah did not dismiss the possibility of returning to Arsenal, stating, “You never know… If one day it turns out to be that it’s time to go back then it’s possible. For now, I’m really happy at Valencia.”

This statement, coupled with his recent appearance in an Arsenal shirt, has led to increased speculation about his possible return as Arsenal are, once again, linked with every attacking midfielder on the planet in a throwback to Arsene Wenger’s days.

Although Musah has faced criticism for his recent performances at Valencia, his World Cup display last December attracted interest from several Premier League clubs.

Fabrizio Romano reported that both Arsenal and Chelsea had been following Musah since January. While there was no suggestion of a formal move, Musah’s keenness on a new challenge after spending years in Spain is apparently ‘evident’.

Yunus Musah’s future does seem to hang in the balance. Whether the promising midfielder will return to the English Premier League, and specifically to Arsenal, or stay in Spain, only time will tell.
