The reality is we have 15 players involved because FIFA have Rafaelle as still with Arsenal, while Ilestedt is with PSG and Lacasse with Benfica.

Funnily enough, the Russo transfer is registered in FIFA’s list, probably because it did not have to go through TMS (Transfer Matching System).

Here are the players, their teams, and their schedules in UK time.

Having 15 players unavailable during pre-season means we will have about a dozen first-team players in training:

Three goalkeepers – Zinsberger, Marckese, and Williams. Two defenders – Beattie and Goldie. One midfielder – Little. Three forwards – Gio, Godfrey, and Agyemang.

Miedema and Mead are coming back from their ACL injuries and are training on grass. Williamson and Wienroither are months away from coming back.

Considering the Champions League Qualifying Round 1 will take place on 6 and 9 September, there is every possibility that the World Cup players will have no rest, or at least a short one, before being back in pre-season training.
