John Cross reports for the Mirror that after spending £65m on Kai Havertz, £105m on Declan Rice, and almost £40m on Juirrien Timber, Arsenal are unlikely to stop there.

Cross mentions that Arsenal have Romeo Lavia in their sights, with full backing from clubs owners Stan and Josh Kroenke.

But Arsenal aren’t the only club interested in Lavia, and further incomings are reportedly likely to depend on outgoings.

Granit Xhaka is already on the way out for £21.5m, and Rob Holding, Thomas Partey, Kieran Tierney, and Albert Sambi Lokonga are all mentioned in the article as players who could go to free up extra squad space and cash.

Ed Aarons of The Guardian reported this week that Holding is expected to leave Arsenal this summer, either permanently or on loan.

Holding has a deal with his current club until 2024, with an option for a further year should Arsenal wish to activate it, having last extended his deal in 2021.

Partey is set for talks with Arsenal this week, with the club reportedly open to selling him for a fee of over £30m.

Juventus and clubs in Saudi Arabia are keeping tabs on the situation, though Arsenal haven’t yet received any formal offers and the player has reportedly never told the club he wants to leave.

Tierney is seemingly a key target for Newcastle United, with Arsenal again asking for a fee of over £30m. There was a lot of talk about a deal prior to the summer, but Newcastle appear to be biding their time on a formal offer at the moment.

Finally, Lokonga recently said in a YouTube interview that he’ll “try to go somewhere [he] will play” next season, with Burnley seemingly interested in a move.

Once again, it doesn’t seem like that deal is advanced, so there’s a lot of work still to do on outgoings. Until that’s sorted, you wouldn’t expect to see much progress on the incoming players.
