Arsenal could see a major reshuffle in its midfield as Thomas Partey faces potential exit.

With two Italian clubs reportedly showing interest, the Gunners might use Partey’s sale to fund new acquisitions and aim to regain their competitive edge in the Premier League.

  • Arsenal are reportedly considering selling Thomas Partey this summer, amid interest from two Italian clubs.
  • The sale of Partey could help fund Arsenal’s potential move for players like Moises Caicedo and Declan Rice.
  • Despite Partey’s impressive performance throughout most of the season, his recent form has left Mikel Arteta open to a possible transfer.

The buzz is growing louder around the future of Thomas Partey at Arsenal.

As the Gunners come to terms with a season that saw them miss out on the Premier League title to Manchester City, reports have emerged that they are open to selling Partey this summer.

This follows interest from two Italian clubs, according to The Times.

Performance issues: Arteta’s reason for considering the sale?

Partey, a Ghanaian international, has put in some strong performances throughout the season.

However, there was a noticeable decline in the later stages, which could have influenced Mikel Arteta‘s willingness to consider a transfer.

With two years left on his contract, the timing could be ripe for a move.

Looking to the future: Moises Caicedo and Declan Rice

The sale of Partey would pave the way for Arsenal to bring in fresh talent.

Players like Moises Caicedo and Declan Rice continue to be linked with the club. Caicedo, the Brighton star, is particularly interesting.

He has similar attributes to Partey and is a player Arsenal have been keen on since January.

The 21-year-old’s asking price is said to be well in excess of the £70million Arsenal bid for him in the previous transfer window.
