The Telegraph report that Arsenal are looking for buyers for Nicolas Pepe this summer, with no plans to reintegrate him into the first-team squad ahead of next season.

The winger only has a year left on his contract, and the Gunners are hoping bidders will emerge in the next few weeks.

It’s not impossible that Arsenal terminate Pepe’s contract, but they’re hoping to get some kind of transfer fee.

Nice won’t be in the race, despite taking the player on loan this season.

Chris Wheatley reports for 3AddedMinutes that Pepe’s representatives are trying to find him a new team ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, and he’s open to moving to Saudi Arabia.

But Wheatley adds that Arsenal will have to accept taking a major hit on the club-record fee they paid for Pepe in 2019.

According to Charles Watts of Goal, it’s clear that the Ivorian international has no future at Arsenal, and a permanent move for the winger is expected this summer.

Pepe had a mixed season with Nice, making 23 starts in all competitions as a result of various fitness setbacks.

He scored eight goals in those games, with only two Nice players outscoring him. But he missed the final seven games of the season through injury to bring his spell to an underwhelming conclusion.
