The Salah-Eddine brothers are set to continue their spells with Arsenal, with Ismail signing a new deal and Salah-Eddine set for a loan, according to a report.

Chris Wheatley reports for LondonWorld that Ismail Oulad M’Hand is close to signing his first professional contract with Arsenal, replacing the scholarship terms he signed after joining the Gunners in 2021.

Ismail joined Arsenal alongside his older brother Salah-Eddine, who is expected to be part of Mikel Arteta’s pre-season tour this summer.

Wheatley adds that Salah-Eddine will most likely head out on loan for the 2023/24 season, following his loan to Hull City this season.

Unfortunately, the midfielder’s spell in the Championship was cut short by injury. Salah-Eddine failed to overcome the existing problem he’d sustained before the season even started.

Hull had an option to buy in their loan deal for the 19-year-old, so if he’d done well in the Championship, they would surely have taken it up.

But Arsenal made the decision to recall Salah-Eddine in January, after working with him on his injury recovery for a couple of months.

The midfielder then made a couple of appearances with the Arsenal u21s, but his injury problems limited him to just those two showings.

As for Ismail, he was recently called up to the Morocco u20 squad, so this is an exciting time for him.

He’ll be looking to make the step up to the Arsenal u21s in the coming campaign, as well as potentially featuring for the u19s in the UEFA Youth League.
