Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea’s Kai Havertz has given the green light to a contract offer from Arsenal, with no problems on his personal terms to join Mikel Arteta’s side.

On his YouTube channel, Romano clarified that “90%” of Havertz’s personal terms have been agreed with the Gunners, and he’s prepared to say yes to Arsenal if Chelsea agree to a sale.

Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly in contact over the move, with “no chance” that the Gunners pay the initial demand of £75m. But Chelsea are expected to be flexible.

Bayern Munich are being kept informed on Havertz’s situation, but they haven’t made any move for him, whilst Real Madrid are reportedly 100% out of the race.

Rumours of Arsenal interest in Havertz came to the fore on Wednesday, as David Ornstein reported that Arsenal had made an opening proposal for the German international.

Ornstein confirmed that Arsenal were stepping up their pursuit following contact with Chelsea and Havertz himself, though the potential transfer was still in the early stages.

Chelsea would ideally like to extend Havertz’s deal or sell him, as he only has two years remaining on his contract.

Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail reports that Chelsea want £70m for Havertz, whilst Arsenal are willing to go to £60m after including add-ons.

Again, Mokbel writes that personal terms won’t be an issue, with Arsenal willing to pay Havertz in excess of £200,000 a week, and the player aware of the interest and keen to join.

The Evening Standard’s Nizaar Kinsella claims Chelsea are prepared to do business, with Arsenal hoping that the financial difficulties of their London rivals will bring the price down.

Chelsea need to sell players before June 30th if they want to include the sales in their books for the current financial year.
