Folarin Balogun has publicly ruled out another loan move away from Arsenal, with talks to take place between the club and his representatives soon.

Following his first goal and first silverware with the United States Men’s National Team this week, Folarin Balogun spoke to the media about his club future.

Whilst there are various options on the table for the striker this summer, he’s ruling out the possibility of another loan.

“What I can say is that I definitely won’t go on loan again,” Balogun said. “I’m not sure [about] the discussions that are going to take place, I’m not sure what’s going to happen.”

Fabrizio Romano reports that a meeting will take place soon between Balogun’s agents and Arsenal, to decide his future.

The striker doesn’t seem to hold any animosity towards his parent club, joking about the “Arsenal connection” between himself and USMNT goalkeeper Matt Turner after their trophy win.

But various reports suggest Balogun wants regular first-team football next season, so if he doesn’t get it at Arsenal, he’ll want a permanent move elsewhere.

Dharmesh Sheth of Sky Sports reported this week that Inter Milan are interested in signing Balogun this summer, and they’re expected to make a formal approach for the striker.

Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport had previously written that Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio was in London on Wednesday to conduct a series of meetings.

Ausilio reportedly tested the waters for Folarin Balogun, with Arsenal demanding a fee in the region of €40m (£34m).

John Cross wrote for the Mirror that Napoli were ready to compete in the race to sign Balogun, as they eye up potential replacements for Victor Osimhen this summer. So it seems Inter will have competition from within Serie A.

Plenty of clubs appear to be interested in a move for Balogun, with The Athletic also linking AC Milan, RB Leipzig, Marseille, and AS Monaco to the striker.

But Leipzig are seemingly fading from the race, with Philipp Hinze of Sky Sport Germany reporting that a Leipzig transfer for Balogun is currently unlikely.

Balogun scored 21 goals in Ligue 1 this season, bringing him to 22 goals in all competitions for loan club Stade de Reims.
