As Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta plots a title challenge for next season, a list of first-team stars might be heading for the exit.

Reports suggest that the Gunners could sanction sales of Eddie Nketiah or Folarin Balogun, as well as Thomas Partey and Kieran Tierney.

This planned summer clear-out indicates a significant squad overhaul in the offing.

Arsenal’s summer transfer window might prove to be a whirlwind of activity as the club is reportedly considering a significant clear-out.

The futures of Eddie Nketiah and Folarin Balogun, two promising young attackers, seem under consideration.

The Gunners are reportedly open to offers for the pair, although only one is expected to leave.

Nketiah had a mixed season at Arsenal, scoring four times across all competitions, but only managing nine starts in the Premier League.

Despite a promising start in the absence of injured Gabriel Jesus, Nketiah struggled for regular playing time after Jesus’ return.

Balogun, on the other hand, spent a fruitful season on loan at Ligue 1 side Stade de Reims, where he caught the eye with 21 goals.

Despite his impressive performance in France, the 21-year-old striker has yet to make a first-team appearance for Arteta’s side.

His future remains uncertain, as a £40 million price tag reportedly hangs over him.

Partey and Tierney on the list?

The club is also seemingly ready to listen to offers for Partey and Tierney, key players in Arsenal’s recent Premier League campaigns.

Ghanaian midfielder Partey, since joining from Atletico Madrid in 2020, has been a vital cog in Arteta’s system.

However, with reported interest from abroad, his future at the Emirates seems uncertain.

Tierney, the Scottish full-back who has been instrumental in Arsenal’s defensive setup, is reportedly a target for Premier League rivals.

His potential departure could leave a considerable gap in Arsenal’s defence, indicating Arteta’s willingness to make bold changes.

Arteta’s bold plans

This potential exodus aligns with Arteta’s objective to reshape the squad for a Premier League title challenge.

The prospective sale of these players, if realised, would provide the necessary funds for the club to make new signings and further strengthen the squad.
