LondonWorld report that Napoli are looking to sign Konstantinos Mavropanos this summer, with Kim Min-jae edging towards a move to Manchester United.

Inter Milan, Fulham, Wolves, and West Ham are all reportedly interested in Mavropanos as well, and Arsenal would stand to profit from a potential move due to a sell-on clause in the defender’s contract.

For the time being, Mavropanos’ focus is on Stuttgart, who are at strong risk of relegation.

With just two games to go, Stuttgart are in 17th, one of the automatic relegation places, and even climbing to 16th would put them in a relegation play-off.

If they want to secure their safety, Stuttgart need to make it into 15th – currently occupied by VfL Bochum, two points above them. Bochum play 18th-place Hertha BSC in their next game.

Should Stuttgart go down, you’d imagine that would make a transfer even more likely, though it may also reduce their bargaining power.

Ideally for Arsenal, Stuttgart will stay up and then sell high.

It’s worth mentioning that Mavropanos has been linked with a transfer away from Stuttgart since before he even officially joined them.

Reports last spring suggested he was going to make his loan move permanent and then immediately leave, which didn’t happen.

But after another year battling relegation with Stuttgart, you’d imagine the 25-year-old might feel the time is now right to move on.
