Arsenal’s young talent Michal Rosiak has signed his first professional contract with the club, marking a significant milestone in his promising career. The 17-year-old Polish youth international has been part of the Arsenal academy since 2016 and has become a key player for the under-18 side.

Rosiak, who has supported Arsenal all his life, expressed his delight at the opportunity to continue his development with the club.

“Signing my first professional contract for Arsenal means everything to me, it’s pretty amazing,” he said. “Playing for the club I’ve always loved and watched growing up, hopefully, it will be the first of many contracts. I want to win major trophies with the club.”

The versatile player has experienced his share of challenges during his time at the academy, including major injuries.

Nevertheless, his determination and hard work have paid off, as he made his under-18s debut against Brighton & Hove Albion last season.

Rosiak has primarily featured as a right-back, but he believes his best position is in midfield, with former Arsenal star and current under-18s head coach Jack Wilshere as his mentor.

In the FA Youth Cup this season, Rosiak was instrumental in Arsenal’s run, scoring a vital free-kick against Manchester City in the semi-final, contributing to his impressive tally of four goals in the competition.

Under Wilshere’s guidance, Rosiak has also managed three goals and six assists in just eight under-18 league appearances, accumulating 13 goal contributions across 14 games in all competitions.

Rosiak has been working on his free-kick technique, hoping to add more goals from set pieces to his repertoire. He also expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to learn from Wilshere, both on and off the pitch.

“Since the start, he has given me little tips and tricks on the pitch and off the pitch, and show how he used to react,” Rosiak said.

With the professional contract now signed, the talented youngster’s focus will be on progressing through the ranks at Arsenal.

The next step for Rosiak will be to make his mark in the Premier League 2 with the under-21s, with potential opportunities to feature in first-team training and even secure a spot on the bench for Champions League matches.

As Rosiak continues his development at Arsenal, fans will be eager to see how the promising prospect will contribute to the club’s future success.
