Arteta confirms season-ending injuries for Arsenal’s Martinelli and Zinchenko ahead of Nottingham Forest clash.

In a blow to Arsenal, head coach Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Gabriel Martinelli and Alex Zinchenko are ruled out for the remainder of the season due to their respective injuries.

Martinelli, who was on an exceptional run of form, sustained a severe ankle injury in the recent match against Brighton & Hove Albion, forcing him to end the season early.

Similarly, Zinchenko has been sidelined with a calf problem.

Arteta was pressed for details about their respective injuries and recovery timelines ahead of the match.

He said, “Gabi’s is a pretty nasty injury. We need to assess next week how long he will be out for, but it will be weeks at least. With Alex, it’s a calf issue. He won’t be available to play in the next few games.”
