  • Former Arsenal midfielder, Mattéo Guendouzi, is expected to depart OM this summer.
  • OM is showing interest in Algerian midfielder Adem Zorgane, currently with Charleroi, to replace Guendouzi.
  • OM faces stiff competition for Zorgane, including from RC Lens, Wolverhampton, Brighton, and LOSC.

Former Arsenal player, Mattéo Guendouzi is expected to depart Marseille at the season’s end.

Guendouzi, no longer viewed as their midfield’s untouchable force since a change of manager earlier in the season, is seen as one of the group’s most sellable assets, and his exit seems likely this summer.

Arsenal are set to benefit from his sell-on clause as the Ligue 1 side look to sell him for around double what they paid Arsenal.

Guendouzi’s move potentially paves the way for a return to the Premier League, where he first rose to prominence with Arsenal. His club are already reportedly seeking reinforcements to fill the void Guendouzi’s departure will create.

One such reinforcement may be Algerian midfielder, Adem Zorgane. Currently under contract with Charleroi until 2027, Zorgane has attracted attention from OM. The 23-year-old is believed to be open to a transfer and the prospect of moving to France is being considered strongly.

However, OM’s pursuit of Zorgane faces a significant hurdle.

RC Lens reportedly leads the chase, leaving OM trailing.

Moreover, Zorgane’s talent has not gone unnoticed by Wolverhampton, Brighton, and LOSC, all of whom are showing keen interest in the Algerian.

This intense competition for Zorgane will test OM’s negotiation skills and resolve as they seek to strengthen their midfield.

Guendouzi’s potential return to the Premier League would undoubtedly be a key point of interest in the summer transfer window.

The midfield dynamo, known for his energy and tenacity, could significantly bolster any club he joins with Aston Villa seen as the most likely destination,. But don’t rule out Tottenham, who are also said to be interested. They also apparently want Emi Martinez as they seek to change their name to ‘Arsenal Rejects FC’ in search of those ever elusive trophies.
