Arsenal have been on a drive to secure their key players to new contracts this season.

Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli, and Aaron Ramsdale have been among those to extend, there are reports that Bukayo Saka has verbally agreed on an extension.

Meanwhile, attempts are ongoing to convince Martin Odegaard and William Saliba to join that list.

The Times report that Ramsdale’s new deal is worth about £120k a week, lasting until 2026 with an option to extend to 2027. Martinelli’s contract lasts until 2027 and has him on £180k a week. Saka would earn over £200,000k a week.

But as well as Saka, Odegaard, and Saliba, The Times report that Ben White could also be among those to be offered improved terms.

The club are looking to reward the core of the side who have mounted this season’s title challenge.

White only joined Arsenal in 2021, signing a five-year deal at the time, so there’s not a huge amount of pressure on his contract situation.

But while things are going well and other players are committing their futures, it seems like the right time to renegotiate.

Players like White should be keen enough to sign new terms, as Arsenal prepare for a return to the Champions League. And with Champions League finances, the Gunners should be able to offer him a nice wage increase.
