Moussa Diaby isn’t the only Bayer Leverkusen winger drawing interest from Arsenal and Newcastle United for a transfer this summer, according to a report.

Arsenal and Newcastle United have been heavily linked with Bayer Leverkusen Moussa Diaby in recent months, but a new report suggests he’s not the only winger of interest at the Bundesliga club.

The Guardian claim Newcastle United are considering whether to firm up their interest in left-winger Amine Adli.

They add that Arsenal are also monitoring the winger, and they could rival Newcastle, Bayern Munich, and AC Milan for the transfer.

Adli has scored six goals and assisted six more for Leverkusen this season, making 34 appearances but just 16 starts for the side. On average, he’s providing a goal contribution every 138 minutes.

Capable of playing anywhere across the front three, Adli would make a versatile addition to whichever team he ends up at.

The France u21 international turned 23 this week, and he has a contract with his current club until 2026.

Leverkusen are reportedly looking for a bid of more than £30m to sell, with Xabi Alonso hoping to build his attack next season around Adli, if they can hang onto him/

Arsenal do seem to be in the market for an attacker in the summer window, and Adli’s youth and versatility make him an interesting option. But the Gunners may look to go for a more established player, given the return of Champions League football next season.
