Bayer Leverkusen’s winger Moussa Diaby and Chelsea’s Mason Mount, who is currently contemplating his contract, are also on Arteta’s radar.

Player sales to fund massive summer recruitment

To fund this summer recruitment drive, The Times suggests that player sales will be crucial. Arteta is hoping to generate £100m from player sales to strengthen the club’s financial standing.

Notable departures on the horizon
