The Arsenal Academy team has received an invitation to participate in the prestigious Blue Stars/FIFA Youth Cup 2023 for the first time. This international U-19 tournament, which comprises two male and two female groups, is scheduled to take place between 17 and 18 May 2023.

The competition’s first-round format divides the teams into two four-team groups for both male and female sections. The top two teams from each section will advance to the last four, with the semi-final winners then competing in the final.

The losing teams will participate in a play-off for third place.

Meanwhile, the sides that finish third in the groups will face one another, as will the teams that finish at the bottom of each group.

In the women’s category, Arsenal WFC has been placed in Group A, alongside FC Basel 1893, FC Rosengård, and FC Zürich Frauen.

Group B features Juventus Women, BSC YB-Frauen, Vancouver Whitecaps FC, and Grasshopper Club Zürich.

Arsenal’s schedule for the tournament is as follows:

Wednesday, 17 May

  • Arsenal vs. FC Basel 1893 at 13:45 CET
  • Arsenal vs. FC Rosengård at 17:05 CET

Thursday, 18 May

  • Arsenal vs. FC Zürich Frauen at 09:20 CET
  • Semi-finals & play-offs for teams ranked in 3rd place and teams ranked in 4th place at 13:00 and 14:00 CET
  • Women’s final at 17:00
