Samir Nasri thinks Manchester City will win the Premier League this season, with Arsenal suffering from a lack of experience in these situations.

Arsenal are set to face Manchester City in a key match for the remainder of this season’s title race, with either side taking control of their own destiny with a win.

Ex-midfielder Samir Nasri played for both teams during his playing career, but he thinks City will end up coming out on top at the end of the season.

Speaking to L’Equipe this week, Nasri explained why he thinks Pep Guardiola’s side have the edge in the final month or so of the season.

“City are reaching the peak of their form at the right moment, with all of their players being available for the run-in, unlike previous years,” Nasri pointed out (via GFFN).

“Meanwhile, Arsenal are slowing down, having been in the lead virtually all season. Sometimes, when you’re so close to your goal but you’re not used to winning, you get the jitters.”

Wednesday night’s game may not be the decisive moment in the title race.

A draw would leave the two teams in pretty similar situations, with City five points behind but with two games in hand, whilst even a win for Arsenal might not be enough if they can’t pick up results in a few big upcoming games against Chelsea, Newcastle United, and Brighton.

A City win would certainly make them firm favourites, but even then there would still be potential for a late slip in their remaining seven games.

But Nasri isn’t the only one who thinks City’s experience in these title races will ultimately get them over the line. It’s up to Arsenal to prove them wrong.
