All Nigeria Soccer report that Joel Ideho has been officially invited to a training camp with the Nigeria u20s as they step up their preparation for the summer World Cup.

With Nigeria boss Ladan Bosso finalising his selections, letters have already been sent to Ideho and others.

Though he’s trained with the Nigerian youth teams in the past, Ideho couldn’t play at the u20 Africa Cup of Nations last year due to passport issues.

The young winger was involved in first-team training with Arsenal last week, after recovering from injury.

Ideho had been missing due to an ankle injury sustained in training, and last played for Arsenal against the Crystal Palace u21s on March 17th.

Ideho then missed matches against Blackburn Rovers, Manchester United, Fulham, Brighton, and Fulham (again), but his return to training suggests he’s available now.

Ideho had made himself a starter leading up to his injury, making the starting lineup in five consecutive fixtures in all competitions – his longest run in the team all season.

The former Ajax youngster has six goals for Arsenal in all competitions this season, and u21 boss Mehmet Ali will hope he can add to that when he’s back in the team.
