Arsenal are now seen as the favourites to secure the services of Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinković-Savić, who was previously linked with Manchester United.

The 28-year-old Serbian’s contract is set to expire next summer, and Arsenal seem prepared to offer a deal in the upcoming transfer window.

Lazio’s €40m asking price and replacement plans

Lazio are looking to cash in on Milinković-Savić before his contract expires, with the Italian club setting an asking price of €40m.

According to reports, Lazio have identified Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski as a potential replacement, who would also cost around €40m.

Il Messaggero, as relayed by Lazio Press, has reported that the Premier League is “seriously attracting” Milinković-Savić, and Arsenal have “already tested the waters” with their interest.

The player, who turned down Arsenal in the past, seems to have changed his mind due to the team’s recent success under Mikel Arteta.
