Arsenal and Brighton are reportedly interested in signing Feyenoord’s star midfielder Orkun Kokcu, valued at £30 million.
The S*n reports that Brighton have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kokcu, as uncertainty surrounds the future of their midfielders Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo due to transfer speculation.
Contract situations for Mac Allister and Caicedo
Both Mac Allister and Caicedo are under contract, with their deals running until 2025 and 2026, respectively.
Brighton also have the option to extend each player’s contract by another season.
The club reportedly doesn’t want to sell either player, but they could face challenges from clubs offering substantial transfer fees and higher wages, particularly in relation to Caicdeo who has already pushed for a move to Arsenal before signing a new deal with Brighton.
Kokcu’s value and European interest
Kokcu, valued at £30 million, is under contract with Feyenoord until 2025.
The talented midfielder has attracted interest from major clubs across Europe, including Tottenham, Sevilla, and Leicester City.
Arsenal are also eyeing Kokcu, potentially offering him Champions League football next season.
Impressive season for Kokcu
The Turkish international has scored 12 goals in 35 appearances for Eredivisie leaders Feyenoord this season, helping them reach the Europa League quarter-finals and maintain their domestic dominance.
Feyenoord, like Arsenal, are currently eight points clear at the top of the Eredivisie.
