Injury troubles at Arsenal and Juventus

During his time at Arsenal, Aaron Ramsey was no stranger to injuries.

A broken leg in 2010 when he was still a teenager was a significant setback, as he spent nine months on the sidelines recovering.

This injury had a profound impact on his playing career, with recurring injuries becoming a part of his life in the years that followed.

Ramsey’s move to Juventus in 2019 did not provide the fresh start he hoped for, as injuries continued to hamper his progress.

Over two seasons with the Italian giants, he struggled to make a consistent impact, making just 65 appearances in all competitions.

A new beginning at Nice

However, the tide seems to have turned for the Wales captain since joining Nice last summer.

With 29 appearances to his name this season, Ramsey has become an integral part of Les Aiglons’ midfield, contributing a goal and two assists as the team remains unbeaten since January under new manager Didier Digard.

Ramsey’s consistent performances have not gone unnoticed by the club management.

According to L’Équipe, he has already reached the required number of appearances for an automatic one-year contract extension.

Still, the club are said to be looking to keep him for a more extended period.

Talks are underway for a multi-year extension, which could see the 32-year-old’s family move from Wales as he settles longer term on the Côte d’Azur.

The new deal would keep Ramsey at Nice for at least another two years, giving him the stability he needs to continue his career resurgence.

A leader on the pitch

Ramsey’s experience and determination have made him one of the team leaders on the pitch for Nice.

His ability to overcome adversity and bounce back from injuries is also a testament to his character and dedication to the game.

With his future looking bright at Nice, Aaron Ramsey can now focus on putting his injury-plagued past behind him and continue to make a difference on the pitch and hopefully enjoy the remaining years of his career.
