Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka has had plenty of highlights in his young career so far, from his 189 games for club and country to his many goals and assists in some of the biggest games.

But speaking to Amazon Prime Video Sport, Saka said “winning the FA Cup” was the highlight of his career so far.

Saka was still working on fully establishing himself with Arsenal in the 2019/20 season, so he didn’t end up playing in the cup final win over Chelsea, but he played a key role in the earlier rounds.

Arsenal may not have made it to Wembley without Saka’s goal and assist in the 2-1 away win against Bournemouth, and he also played the full 90 of the fifth round and quarter-final matches against Portsmouth and Sheffield United.

When asked about his personal sporting ambition, Saka’s answer once again focused on trophy success.

“To win the Premier League and the Champions League,” the 21-year-old answered simply.

Arsenal have a good opportunity to do the former this season, five points clear at the top of the Premier League table with 12 games remaining.

But there’s still a long way to go, with trips to Anfield and the Etihad among Arsenal’s outstanding fixtures.

Arsenal are also on the verge of qualifying for next season’s Champions League, with a 21-point gap to fifth place as it stands (though that could be cut by various teams with their games in hand).

That would give Saka his first taste of Champions League football, and with the current strength of the English game compared to the other top European leagues, Arsenal will fancy their chances as much as any other team next season.
