Arsenal are ready to announce a new deal for Bukayo Saka worth close to £300k a week when including all bonuses, according to a report.

Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail reports that Bukayo Saka’s new contract with Arsenal will see him earn almost £15m a season when including bonuses and other payments.

The same outlet claims the deal will be worth a minimum of £10m a year, meaning his weekly wage will end up somewhere between £192k and £288k.

This will make Saka the biggest earner at the club, though he’ll bring in less than some former players like Mesut Özil did.

Manchester City were among the clubs monitoring Saka’s future, but he made it clear he wants to stay and is eager to start his Champions League career with Arsenal.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Saka will sign his new contract very soon, and Daniel Cutts claims Arsenal are ready to announce the new deal.

Romano adds that two clubs from England and one from abroad were monitoring Saka’s contract situation.

The winger’s previous deal was set to expire in 2024, and Saka is one of the top-performing wingers in the world, so that’s hardly surprising.

Saka has 13 goals and 10 assists for Arsenal this season, helping the Gunners to the top of the Premier League table with 10 games remaining.

The 21-year-old also has four goals and three assists in eight international fixtures since this season began, with three of those goals coming on the biggest stage at the World Cup.

Tying him down for the next five years, as previously claimed, would be the best bit of business Arsenal will do in 2023.
