Eddie Nketiah is still yet to return to training ahead of Arsenal’s match against Sporting CP on Thursday, according to reports.

As Arsenal held their final training session ahead of Thursday’s Europa League last-16 second-leg match against Sporting CP, Eddie Nketiah was a notable absentee.

Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard returned to the squad at the weekend, and they both continue to be involved in first-team training.

Martin Odegaard and Kieran Tierney also made their comebacks on Sunday after illness.

But it looks as though Nketiah is yet to recover from his ankle problem. Goal previously reported that he may not be available again until after the international break, and so it’s proving.

Mohamed Elneny is the only other absentee, with the Egypt international expected to be out for the season.

In other news, Amario Cozier-Duberry joined the session, just as he took part in training ahead of the Fulham game.

The young winger would likely have made last week’s squad away in Lisbon if not for a minor injury keeping him out, but it seems he could now get a spot on the expanded bench on Thursday.
