Not that long ago it was reported that Real Madrid had put a new contract offer on the table for Arsenal flop, Dani Ceballos, but it seems that is not true.

Real Madrid are reportedly assessing the performance of Dani Ceballos game by game with the midfielder’s contract expiring at the end of the season.

While there has been talk of a possible renewal, and even claims that a new 3-year deal worth €6m-a-year was on the table, Real Madrid have apparently yet to make a decision on his future and may wait until the season ends.

Ceballos can negotiate with other clubs for a free move this summer, and has already reportedly turned down Bayern Munich, but is currently waiting for a proposal from Real Madrid.

However, he has reportedly had doubts about his continuity due to a lack of playing time in recent games, and is waiting to see if he will have a certain leadership role on the pitch before making a decision.
