With the Arsenal u21s’ Premier League International Cup and EFL Trophy runs coming to an end and their Premier League 2 title challenge fading away, the young Gunners now have one remaining realistic shot at silverware.

Having finished top of their Premier League Cup group, before beating Reading in the last-16, the u21s are progressing to the quarter-final stage this month.

Arsenal have drawn Brentford away from home, with the fixture to take place on Monday, 13th March at 19:00 GMT. The venue is yet to be confirmed.

Here is the quarter-final draw in full (all times in GMT):

  • 10th March, 19:00 – Southampton vs Blackburn
  • 11th March, 13:00 – Stoke City vs Fulham
  • 13th March, 13:00 – Bristol City vs Nottingham Forest
  • 13th March, 19:00 – Brentford vs Arsenal

Brentford had a strong group stage, winning five of their six games before defeating Middlesbrough 2-1 in the last-16. Facing them away from home certainly won’t be easy.

Looking further ahead, Fulham appear to be the team to worry about, having won all seven of their games. They’ve scored 27 goals and conceded just seven in the competition so far.

By comparison, Arsenal have won four, drawn two, and lost one, scoring 16 and conceding 10. So the team will need to step it up in the latter stages to bring home the trophy.
