Arsenal have now confirmed that their u18s will play against Manchester City’s u18 side in the FA Youth Cup semi-final on Tuesday, April 4th at 19:00 local time.

Just like the quarter-final win over Cambridge United, the match will be played at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal have also been handed home advantage in the draw for the final – if they can make it.

Jack Wilshere’s side have already played some tricky away ties in this competition, however, winning 3-2 at St. James’ Park and 4-2 at Vicarage Road.

The young Gunners also beat Millwall 6-0 at Meadow Park in their opening fixture in the competition.

But this will certainly be their toughest test yet. City are possibly the outstanding u18 side in the country, on a run of 11 wins, zero draws, and zero defeats in 2023.

Though, unlike Arsenal, they’ve played all of their cup fixtures at home so far.

The only side matching City in the league this season are West Ham United, who are in the other semi-final against Southampton.

It’s worth noting that City have largely played against northern teams in their impressive run throughout 2023 so far, due to the u18 Premier League being split between north and south.

Arsenal, West Ham, and Southampton will all hope to prove they can provide more of a test to the north’s outstanding u18 side.
