Arsenal put in a dominant display away to Fulham at the weekend, with Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Jesus returning from injury to give the team a boost ahead of a tricky run-in.

WhoScored named three of Sunday’s Arsenal starters in their Premier League Team of the Week, with Trossard, William Saliba, and Gabriel Magalhaes all making the side.

Trossard’s inclusion was certainly no surprise, and he received the highest rating of anyone on the team – 9.16.

The forward completed a first-half hat-trick of assists, creating four chances overall, with WhoScored also noting his one dribble, one tackle, and one interception.

Centre-back Gabriel was one of the three players Trossard assisted, heading home from a corner. The defender also won two aerial duels, made two tackles, and completed 86% of his passes.

Finally, the statistical highlight of Saliba’s performance was his seven clearances, but anyone watching would have been most impressed by his weak-foot long pass to Granit Xhaka in the build-up to Arsenal’s second goal.

Saliba also made an excellent tackle on Dan James at one stage in the second half, with WhoScored noting that he won 100% of the tackles he attempted.

With a clean sheet at one end and Trossard setting up three goals at the other, it makes perfect sense to see Arsenal’s individual performances recognised.

But it was another encouraging team display as well, and Mikel Arteta’s side will now look to secure two more wins before the international break.
