SportBild (via GGFN) report that Jesper Lindstrom will push for a transfer this summer if Eintracht Frankfurt fail to qualify for European competition.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, and Italian clubs are all credited with an interest, with Frankfurt set to bring in at least €30m for his sale. Lindstrom’s current contract expires in 2026.

As it stands, Frankfurt are in sixth place and in line to qualify for the Europa Conference League.

But even that is in doubt, with all three of the teams behind Frankfurt in better form. Lindstrom’s side only have five points in their last five games, compared to Wolfburg’s eight, Leverkusen’s 10, and Mainz’s 11.

With just a two or three-point advantage over those three teams, a continuation of that form would quickly see Frankfurt plummeting down the division.

Lindstrom has scored nine goals and assisted four in 31 appearances for Frankfurt this season, largely playing in midfield.

The 23-year-old Denmark international is also capable of playing on the wings, but he’s currently out injured with an ankle problem.

German outlet Sport1 recently reported that Arsenal are very interested in a move for Lindstrom, after he was linked with the Gunners on a few occasions last year.

At the time, the player suggested he was happy to hear the reports.

“It’s a huge confidence boost. It’s one of the biggest things as a footballer, so I’m obviously very happy,” Lindstrom said.

“It’s always great to play in the biggest league in the world, but whether Arsenal is right for me is hard to say. Right now, I’m in a good place in Frankfurt, but it’s great that there are clubs like them that are watching me.

“Something may have to happen at some point, but right now I’m fine.”
