Arsenal have officially confirmed that Arsenal will play against an MLS All-Stars team on July 19th at Audi Field in Washington D.C., with D.C. United Head Coach Wayne Rooney managing the opposition side.

Tickets are set to go on sale from Tuesday, March 28th, with further information here.

Arsenal also confirmed that the match is part of a tour of the USA, with no further details available yet.

“Our match against MLS All-Stars in July is a great opportunity for Mikel and the squad to prepare ahead of the new season, facing strong opposition,” sporting director Edu said.

“We’re currently working on our pre-season plans and we look forward to announcing further details soon.”

Mikel Arteta added: “It’s great that we’re playing against the MLS All-Stars in Washington D.C. in July.

“Our US tour last summer was very good preparation for the season, and we’re looking forward to once again visiting our amazing supporters in the US.

“The match against the MLS All-Stars will be a good test ahead of the 2023/24 season.”

Arsenal have a growing link to the U.S., with Matt Turner and Auston Trusty signing for the Gunners and receiving call-ups for the USMNT this month, Kroenke Sports and Entertainment in charge of the club, and last season’s pre-season tour.

There’s now a possibility Arsenal could take part in the Premier League’s U.S. pre-season tournament.

David Ornstein revealed back in October that the tournament would take place this summer, but Arsenal’s involvement remains a mystery.
