Tyrone Mings is a doubt to face Arsenal at the weekend, as he works to make his comeback from a recent injury with Aston Villa.
Arsenal face Aston Villa in the early kick-off on Saturday, and the hosts are sweating on the fitness of regular starter Tyrone Mings ahead of the fixture.
Mings has made 19 Premier League starts for Villa this season, but he missed their last game against Manchester City through injury.
The Shropshire Star report that Mings’ chances of playing against Arsenal are believed to be 50/50, and Calum Chambers is in line to deputise.
Villa have lost all four games they’ve played without Mings in all competitions this season, and they’ve just handed him a new contract with the club.
As well as Mings, Villa will be without Diego Carlos, who is only just starting to return to training with the squad after a six-month absence with an Achilles tendon rupture.
Bertrand Traore is also only recently back in full training, so he’s unlikely to be ready to start against Arsenal.
On the upside for Villa, that still leaves them with all the same players they started last week, when their lineup was as follows:
Martinez, Young, Konsa, Chambers, Digne, Kamara, Luiz, Buendia, Ramsey, Bailey, Watkins
