Erling Haaland is expected to face Arsenal after taking part in training on Monday with the rest of the Manchester City squad.

Despite some doubts after his half-time substitution against Aston Villa, Erling Haaland looks to be fit to face Arsenal on Wednesday night.
Sky Sports report that Haaland took part in Manchester City’s recovery session on Monday afternoon, along with the rest of the City squad.
Meanwhile, The Athletic write that Haaland is expected to be fit for the Arsenal game.
Pep Guardiola’s comments on Sunday certainly seemed to hint that Haaland’s problem wasn’t serious. The manager seemed to suggest the withdrawal was only precautionary, and that Haaland may have played on if the game had still been in the balance.
“Erling has a knock; he was uncomfortable,” Guardiola said. “At half-time, I spoke with the doctors. They said maybe with the score like it is we don’t take risks, and I agreed.
“If the score was tighter, then maybe I don’t do it. I think he is not injured but on Monday we are going to see.
“Hopefully he can be in for Wednesday. But if he is not ready or there is some risk, he is not going to play.”

Far from mind games, that just sounds like a normal injury update from the City boss.
He admitted he doesn’t think Haaland is injured, and that he might not have taken the player off if the result hadn’t been secured, so there was never much doubt the striker would be back in time for the Arsenal game.
