Beth Mead has finished third in the voting for The Best FIFA Women’s Player for 2022, behind Spain’s Alexia Putellas and the USA’s Alex Morgan.

Beth’s performance in the 2021/22 campaign, where she scored 11 goals and provided eight assists for Arsenal, and her impressive show in the Euro 2022, where she scored six goals and made five assists, led her to be amongst the final three shortlist.

This is the latest accolade for Beth, who won the BBC’s Women’s Footballer of the Year and the BBC Sports Personality of the Year, and finished runner-up in the Ballon d’Or and UEFA Women’s Player of the Year.

Mead, along with Leah Williamson, was also named in the FIFPRO World XI team of the year for the 2021/22 campaign.

They were influential in helping England win Euro 2022, with Williamson captaining the team and Mead winning the Golden Boot and Player of the Tournament.

Both were also included in the Team of the Tournament.

Their form at club level has also been impressive.

This is the fourth successive season that Arsenal has been represented in the World XI.
