Takehiro Tomiyasu recently spoke to GOAL and gave an insight into life at the club and under manager Mikel Arteta.

Appearing in a video that you can watch below, the Japanese defender spoke about the high-level training sessions and the family-like atmosphere both within the team and among the supporters.

Tomiyasu also praised Arteta’s skills on the field, saying that the manager sometimes joins in on the training sessions and has ‘very good skills’.

The right-back spoke highly of the club and the environment they have created, making it a great place to be.

In addition to his experiences at Arsenal, Tomiyasu also shared his thoughts on the behaviour of Japanese fans during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

He expressed his pride in the Japanese culture and the way Japanese fans clean up after themselves, which was seen in viral videos on social media during the tournament.
