The BBC’s Garth Crooks included three Arsenal players in his Team of the Week for the latest round of fixtures, with Oleksandr Zinchenko, Jorginho, and Bukayo Saka featuring.

On Zinchenko, Crooks wrote that the defender was “involved in almost every Arsenal move that resulted in a chance” adding that “since he arrived at the Emirates, his performances have been outstanding”.

Crooks praised Jorginho for a “biting” performance complementing Martin Odegaard’s style of play, and he suggested the midfielder is “getting the taste for the big games again”.

As for Saka, Crooks called the winger’s equaliser “top class”, and wrote that Saka “went on to terrorise [Villa’s] defence, while the entire home team targeted Saka with the rough stuff and Villa fans booed him”.

Crooks concluded that Saka put in a superb performance and that Arsenal are playing like champions.

As for WhoScored, the stat site selected two different Arsenal players for their Team of the Week – Martin Odegaard (8.0) and Eddie Nketiah (8.1).

Nketiah may have received some criticism on social media for another game without a goal, but the stats were kinder to him after he hit the woodwork and created a huge chance for Odegaard.

As for Odegaard, the midfielder provided an assist and created a great opportunity for Nketiah as he sparked Arsenal’s second-half turnaround.

Saka was unlucky not to make the WhoScored team, considering he was the highest-rated player of the game – with an 8.4 rating. Unfortunately for him, there was greater competition from players on other teams in his position.
