Only a complete idiot would believe that they could kick a Premier League football in full view of the world’s TV cameras and not face any repercussions, then again, Spurs fans aren’t that bright or they wouldn’t be Spurs fans, would they?

As the result of this one fans’ actions on Sunday after Tottenham lost at home to Arsenal, Spurs will now face an investigation into their stewarding. The fan himself is facing a life-time ban from the Spurs stadium, which seems like no punishment at all.

A statement from Spurs condemned the attack but also called the actual attack and ‘attempted’ one.

They wrote, “We are appalled by the behaviour of a supporter that attempted to attack Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale at the end of today’s match. Violence in any form has no place in football.

“The Club has reviewed its CCTV footage to identify the supporter and will be working with the Met Police, Arsenal and Aaron Ramsdale to take the strongest possible action, including an immediate ban from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.”

It’s not yet clear if Spurs will face any action for failing to control their players throughout the game, or if Richarlison will be charged for attempting to poke Ramsdale in the eye.

Despite all that, Arsenal remain at the top of the table, 14 points above Tottenham while Tottenham remain Spursy.
