With no change in Arsenal talks to secure his transfer, Mykhaylo Mudryk will now travel to Turkey for Shakhtar Donetsk’s training camp.

Fabrizio Romano reports that there have been no major developments on a deal for Mykhaylo Mudryk in the last 48 hours.

Chelsea met with Shakhtar Donetsk on Friday, but Arsenal also held direct talks, and Shakhtar continue to insist they want €100m.

The player’s priority is still Arsenal, as has always been the case, but Chelsea will keep trying until the end of the window.

Lyall Thomas of Sky Sports also confirmed both Arsenal and Chelsea holding further talks with Shakhtar, with no agreement yet and the Ukrainian side standing firm.

Back in Ukraine, it’s being reported that the lack of progress means Mudryk now has to rejoin the team for their training camp.

Shakhtar have been on their winter break in the last few weeks, but they’re planning to travel to Turkey for a training camp starting on Monday. As it stands, SportArena report that Mudryk will be with them.

James Benge reported earlier this week that there was no breakthrough in Arsenal’s talks for Mudryk, but parties close to the deal were indicating there’s still a strong desire to reach a fee agreement this month.

Arsenal’s interest hasn’t been cooled by the likely rejection of their second bid, but they won’t be drawn into a bidding war.

The Evening Standard wrote that Arsenal are still the front runners. Yet until a fee is agreed upon, that doesn’t really mean much.
