Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, and Mikel Arteta have all been nominated for the Premier League’s monthly awards.

With the World Cup interruption, the Premier League decided to combine their usual monthly awards for November and December into one set of awards for both months.

As a result, Arsenal’s wins over Chelsea, Wolves, West Ham United, and Brighton are all included in the decision-making process.

In November, Arsenal kept a couple of clean sheets in tricky away games against Chelsea and Wolves, with Bukayo Saka setting up Gabriel Magalhaes’ goal at Stamford Bridge, before Martin Odegaard scored a brace at Molineux.

Then, on football’s return in December, the Gunners kicked things back off with a 3-1 win over West Ham, followed by a 4-2 victory away to Brighton.

Winning three out of three away fixtures and comfortably dispatching West Ham at home is an impressive record, and Mikel Arteta was the only manager to see his team win all four games across the relevant period.

As a result, it’s no surprise to see Arteta up for Manager of the Month, and you can vote for him here.

As for Player of the Month, Odegaard and Saka are up for the award.

Both players featured in all four of Arsenal’s wins, with Odegaard scoring three and assisting three – the most of any player in the league in the four games.

Saka couldn’t quite match that, with three goal contributions in the four games, but he provided important contributions all the same.

His goal against Brighton and assist against Chelsea were both for the opening goals, and his goal against West Ham was an equaliser.

It’s hard to see past Odegaard for the award, but rival fanbases are likely to be out in force to push other nominees Marcus Rashford, Erling Haaland, Casemiro, Ben Mee, Palhinha, and Kieran Trippier.
