Arsenal have reportedly contacted Roma over the signing of winger Nicolo Zaniolo in the January window.

Roma are apparently getting ready to lose their 23-year-old winger, Nicolo Zaniolo, with Arsenal said to be interested in the player after Chelsea signed Mudryk.

Arsenal were first linked with Zaniolo four years ago when Unai Emery and Raul Sanllehi made contact with the player’s agent about a loan in the summer of 2019 when he was still only 19.

The story then mostly vanished until it was revived a few months ago when it looked very much like Zaniolo’s agent was using the club to get a new deal.

That is important because the player still has not agreed a new contract with Roma and, here we are once again, discussing a possible move to Arsenal.

Zaniolo’s current contract expires next summer and Roma value him at between €30m and €40m and they have no interest in any sort of loan deal, unless it comes with an obligation to buy.
