Aaron Ramsdale, the goalkeeper for Arsenal Football Club, has been nominated for the Premier League’s Save of the Month award for January.
This is the first nomination for Ramsdale this season, who had an exceptional performance during the north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.
One of his saves in particular stood out, when he denied Ryan Sessegnon’s shot from close range in the 51st minute of the game.
This save helped secure a ninth clean sheet of the season for Ramsdale and earned him a nomination for the award.
Ramsdale is competing against other top goalkeepers in the league, including former Arsenal goalkeepers, Lukasz Fabianski and Emiliano Martinez of West Ham United and Aston Villa respectively, as well as Kepa Arriazabalaga of Chelsea, David de Gea of Manchester United and Nick Pope of Newcastle United.
The winner will be determined by a panel of experts, which will take into consideration the votes of the fans.
Supporters are encouraged to vote for Aaron Ramsdale, who has been a key player for Arsenal this season.
