Arsenal are trying to sign both Mykhaylo Mudryk and Joao Felix in the January transfer window, according to various sources.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein reports that Arsenal want a couple of players in the January transfer window, looking to sign both Mykhaylo Mudryk on a permanent deal and Joao Felix on loan.

As it stands, Arsenal aren’t willing to pay Shakhtar Donetsk’s demands for Mudryk or Atletico Madrid’s asking price for Felix’s loan.

In fact, Ornstein suggests no one is willing to pay Atletico’s asking price. But Arsenal are clearly in the mix if the price comes down.

Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth reports that negotiations are ongoing between Arsenal and Atletico for Felix’s loan signing, and it would work for both parties as long as they could compromise on a price.

Sheth reiterates that Arsenal are in for both Felix and Mudryk, not one or the other.

On a potential deal for Mudryk, the current stumbling block is Chelsea’s involvement in the situation.

Shakhtar are keen to play Arsenal and Chelsea off each other to push up the price, even though Yehor Danylov of Ukrainian outlet SportArena reports that Mudryk himself clearly prefers the Gunners.

Danylov adds that we shouldn’t expect a quick or easy deal, as Shakhtar want to extract the maximum amount possible.
