Arsenal have reached an agreement with Brighton and Hove Albion to sign Leandro Trossard for a fee said to be £27m.
Earlier on Thursday, it was reported that Arsenal were in ‘advanced talks’ to sign Leandro Trossard from Brighton following another report that the player had been offered to Arsenal.
Now, David Ornstein is reporting that Arsenal and Brighton have come to an agreement that will see the Gunners pay £27m for the 28-year-old.
Simon Collings, meanwhile, reports that the fee is £21m plus add-ons.
Arsenal were reportedly offered the chance to sign Trossard from Brighton after the player, who previously turned Arsenal down, fell out with Brighton’s manager, Roberto De Zerbi.
Trossard has scored nine and assisted three in 23 games this season but was left out of Brighton’s squad for their 3-0 win over Liverpool after being was benched for their 4-1 win over Everton in the previous league game.
Trossard’s contract was due to expire this summer but Brighton took took the option to extend it for a further year at the start of this month.
Brighton paid €15.56m for Trossard in the summer of 2019.
