Oleksandr Zinchenko, Granit Xhaka, and Matt Turner were with the Arsenal squad on Tuesday for the match against AC Milan, though they didn’t feature.

A couple of Arsenal’s World Cup internationals (Ben White and Thomas Partey) made their returns to the pitch for Mikel Arteta’s side in a friendly against AC Milan on Tuesday, but there were a few more in the stands.

Granit Xhaka and Matt Turner sat pitchside for the clash, watching on after their returns from international duty with Switzerland and the USA.

Switzerland and the USA were both eliminated from the World Cup at the Round-of-16 stage, whilst White and Partey left the tournament in the group stage, so it makes sense that Xhaka and Turner would get a little more time off.

There’s no sign of Takehiro Tomiyasu yet, but he should be involved before long as well, having also exited the World Cup in the Round of 16.

Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka, and Aaron Ramsdale were all knocked out in the quarter-final stage, but reports suggest they’re set to return to training this week all the same.

We just might not get to see the trio play much of a role against Juventus at the weekend.

The other Arsenal player in the stands but not on the bench against AC Milan on Tuesday was Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Zinchenko has a minor injury, and Arsenal are hoping he’ll return in time for the competitive club football restart.

But whilst the player himself insists the problem is nothing to worry about, he’s clearly still not fit to make the bench at this stage.
