Joao Felix’s rumoured transfer valuation has already dropped, though it may still be out of Arsenal’s reach in the January window.

Last week, reports suggested Atletico Madrid were looking for €140m to sell Joao Felix, which would represent a profit on their initial purchase price.

But this figure always seemed unrealistic, and it’s already dropping.

Goal Espana report that Atletico are looking for closer to €100m, and that they would consider a loan with an obligation to buy.

Goal add that Atletico would prefer to sell to the Premier League over other options, because they believe that will get them the best price and Felix the best contract offer.

Atletico Madrid’s CEO Gil Marin sparked rumours of a transfer exit for Felix this week, after telling the media the club need to consider potential bids to sell him.

“Joao Felix has a top level but because of his relationship with Simeone and game time… we feel that makes sense to consider potential bids to sell him,” Marin said.

“I’d love for Joao to continue (with us), but this is the current situation.”

Matteo Moretto reports for Relevo that Felix wants to leave the club, and there’s no going back at this point.

PSG were the first club to make a decisive move for the player, with Chelsea also ahead of the first. But Moretto adds that Arsenal have also asked about the player, with Gabriel Jesus set to be out for the next few months.

Jorge Mendes has spoken with Arsenal, along with Chelsea, Bayern Munich, PSG, and Manchester United.

The Portugal international scored one goal and grabbed two assists in four games at the World Cup, and he looked particularly good in their 6-1 win over Switzerland.

On top of that, Felix still has a contract with Atletico for another three and a half years (to 2026). He’s inevitably going to command a high price, despite his club fall-out.
