Arsenal have moved the kick-off time of their FA Youth Cup game against Millwall, making it possible for fans to attend the first-team friendly as well.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side face Juventus in a friendly on Saturday at 18:00 GMT, a timing which originally clashed with the Arsenal u18s’ FA Youth Cup match against Millwall at 19:00 GMT. As a result, it was impossible for fans to attend both fixtures.

Fortunately, Arsenal have now confirmed that the Youth Cup game at Meadow Park (Borehamwood) has been moved forward to 14:00 GMT.

There are no replays in the FA Youth Cup, so it’s possible the match against Millwall will go to extra time and penalties. If that’s the case, the fixture could go on for around two-and-a-half hours.

Even so, that should leave enough time for supporters to travel to the Emirates Stadium for the Juventus game, which now starts four hours after the youth fixture kicks off.

You’d imagine it’s still very unlikely that any youth players playing in the Millwall game will be involved in Arteta’s squad later in the day.

The likes of Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri, who have featured for Arteta on tour, will have to choose between the two fixtures.

But given that more and more of Arsenal’s first-team options are returning to training after their World Cup participation, there probably won’t be many opportunities available on this occasion anyway.

As mentioned, the Youth Cup clash will be played at Meadow Park, and any fans intending to go will be able to get free entry for the fixture.
