19-year-old Arsenal loan goalkeeper Ovie Ejeheri has frequently received praise for his performances with Chelmsford City this season, as they chase promotion from the National League South.

Monday was no exception, as he kept a clean sheet for Chelmsford against Braintree, and was subsequently named Man of the Match by the supporters.

Ejeheri was then selected for the National League South Team of the Week, so it’s not just the Chelmsford fans taking notice of his performances.

The goalkeeper had to make a number of saves to keep Braintree out, and you can see a few of them at 0:54, 1:05, and 2:05 in the ClaretsTV highlight package for the game.

Ejeheri has made 19 appearances in the National League South this season, keeping clean sheets in 11 of them.

Chelmsford sit fourth in the table, though they could take third with a high-scoring win in their game in hand over third-place Havant and Waterlooville. They also have three games in hand on first-place Dartford, who are eight points ahead.

Only first place earns you an automatic promotion, but second and third gives you a bye into the play-off semi-finals, whilst fourth to seventh make the play-off quarter-finals.

At the very least, Chelmsford look set to be involved at that stage, as long as Ejeheri can keep performing so well in goal.
