The Europa League play-off draw took place on Monday, as Arsenal wait to learn their potential Round-of-16 opponents.
As Arsenal topped their Europa League group last week, the Gunners can skip the Europa League play-off matches and move straight into the Round of 16.
In the meantime, the Europa League runners-up and the Champions League third-place teams dropping down will play each other for the chance to join the group winners in the next round.
The draw for that play-off round took place on Monday, with the results as follows:
- FC Barcelona vs Manchester United
- Juventus vs Nantes
- Sporting CP vs Midtjylland
- Shakhtar Donetsk vs Rennes
- Ajax vs Union Berlin
- Bayer Leverkusen vs Monaco
- Sevilla vs PSV
- Salzburg vs AS Roma
These matches will take place in February, on the 16th and 23rd. So Arsenal will be keeping an eye out to see who will then be joining them in the next round.
The Gunners won’t learn their opponent for the Round of 16 until after the play-off round has taken place, with the draw scheduled for February 24th at 12:00 GMT.
The Round of 16 matches will then eventually take place in March, on the 9th and 16th.
